The EU has decided to indefinitely block Russia's assets.
The European Union (EU) has indefinitely blocked the frozen assets of Russia. This was stated in a statement, Reuters reports.
"The European Union agreed on Friday to the indefinite freezing of the assets of the Central Bank of Russia held in Europe, thereby removing a significant obstacle to using these funds to assist Ukraine," the statement said.
It became known the day before that Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, and Malta supported the indefinite freeze of Russian assets. It is specified that this vote does not in any way cancel the decision on the possible use of frozen Russian assets, which is to be made at the level of the leaders of the EU member states.
