Chancellor of Germany Merz: Europe needs to become less dependent on the U.S.
Europe needs to become less dependent on the U.S. and take responsibility for saving democracy itself. This call was made by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, as reported by Sky News.
"I see no need for Americans to wish to save democracy in Europe. If it were necessary, we would manage it ourselves," the politician said, commenting on the new U.S. national security strategy.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that most European countries are decaying, governed by weak people. He emphasized that European leaders should be frightened by the fact that they are destroying their countries. According to the American leader, many European countries will soon become unviable due to "catastrophic" migration policies.
The head of the White House also pointed out that the main reason for Europe's weakness is the desire to be politically correct.
