Soir: NATO intelligence services began surveillance of Euroclear depository employees.
NATO intelligence services have begun surveillance of employees at the Euroclear depository, where part of the frozen Russian assets is stored. This was reported by the Belgian newspaper Le Soir, citing sources.
"From 2015 to 2024, a French employee of Euroclear made 155 flights to Russia and back. An intelligence officer from a NATO member country deemed these trips suspicious," the publication claims.
According to its information, this employee, allegedly visiting Russia, made trips for personal reasons and does not hold any managerial positions.
Earlier, Euroclear urged the European Commission to comply with international law regarding the use of Russian assets.
