White House press secretary Caroline Levitt stated on Monday that the U.S. cannot supply weapons to Ukraine indefinitely, LETA reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.
In an interview with Fox News, Levitt emphasized that President Donald Trump has invested a tremendous amount of time and energy in seeking ways to end the war initiated by Russia against Ukraine, for which he should be thanked.
She noted that Trump's main goal is to stop the killings and the war.
According to Levitt, the president's disappointment reflects the mood of the entire American society.
Although Trump has halted funding for this war, the U.S. continues to sell a significant amount of weapons to Ukraine using NATO mechanisms, the White House press secretary stated.
"We cannot do this indefinitely. The president wants this war to end," Levitt emphasized.
