President of Serbia: Europe's War with Russia is Becoming More Obvious

Everyone in Europe is preparing for war with Russia, claims Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. In light of these events, Serbia, according to Vučić, has found itself between a rock and a hard place.

European countries are preparing for a possible war with Russia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said in an interview with Pink TV on Tuesday, November 11, in response to a journalist's request to comment on a recent statement by the Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces, Fabien Mondan. "As I analyze the facts, I come to the conclusion that war between Europe and Russia is becoming increasingly obvious. These are not empty words. Everyone is preparing for it. This was stated by an extremely responsible general," Vučić emphasized.

In light of the developing events, Serbia finds itself between a rock and a hard place, so it needs to "step back a little," the Serbian president believes. "On the other hand, we must continue to strengthen the army. We are arming ourselves wisely. We need to continue investing significant resources in the defense of our country," he added.

What Exactly General Mondan Said

Fabien Mondan, who has headed the French General Staff since September 1, stated on October 22 that the "first task" he set for the French armed forces is to "be ready for confrontation in three to four years." "Russia is a country that may be tempted to continue the war on our continent, and this is a defining factor in my preparations," the general's words were quoted by the French newspaper Le Monde.

Moscow has the "impression of a collective weakness in Europe," Mondan said, while also noting the "freedom in the use of force" by Russia. At the same time, Europeans surpass the Russian Federation "from an economic, demographic, and industrial point of view," so "there are all grounds to be confident," he emphasized.

Earlier, French Minister of Armed Forces Catherine Colonna stated that the country's military budget for 2026 is planned to be increased to €57.1 billion - this amount constitutes 2.2% of GDP and is 13% more than the funds allocated for 2025.
