Venezuelan military has begun preparing a response to possible U.S. attacks.

Venezuela has begun preparing for a possible U.S. attack, primarily by deploying forces that could initiate guerrilla warfare against American troops. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources.

"Venezuela is deploying weapons — including Russian equipment that has been in use for decades — and plans to organize guerrilla resistance or sow chaos in the event of a U.S. air or ground attack," the report notes.

It is assumed that the authorities of the South American republic may deploy units in more than 280 locations, where they will conduct sabotage and use other guerrilla tactics against U.S. forces.

Additionally, another tactic being developed is referred to as "anarchization" — the use of intelligence services and armed supporters to create disorder in the streets, turning the country into an ungovernable territory for foreign forces.

Earlier, it became known that a U.S. Navy strike group led by the aircraft carrier Gerald Ford arrived off the coast of Venezuela. The order to deploy the carrier group in the Caribbean was personally given by U.S. President Donald Trump last month. It is noted that by the time Gerald Ford arrived, eight military ships, a nuclear submarine, and F-35 aircraft were already stationed in the region.
