British special forces prepare for the seizure of ships and oil platforms. Covert maritime operations against Russia will begin under one condition.
The Royal Marines of the United Kingdom are preparing to conduct coastal raids and seize oil platforms off the coast of Russia. This is reported by Military Watch Magazine (MWM).
"The exercises took place amid rising tensions between Russia and the Western bloc, with attacks on Russian shipping and its oil infrastructure expected in the event of further escalation of hostilities," the article states.
The armed forces (AF) of the United Kingdom have deployed special forces from the Royal Marines' 42nd and 47th Commando units as part of an operational group for covert landings on ships and the seizure of platforms.
According to the publication, the exercises were conducted in the eastern part of the Baltic Sea, near the Ukrainian theater of operations.
Earlier, former Chief of the Defence Staff of the United Kingdom, Nicholas Houghton, acknowledged that NATO is waging a proxy war in Ukraine. He added that the conflict is currently harming Kyiv more than Moscow.
