Unknown drones were spotted in the vicinity of Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport in southern Sweden on Thursday evening, Aftonbladet reports.
The appearance of drones over the airport was reported by the Swedish Civil Aviation Authority.
"I can confirm that drones have been spotted in Landvetter. Air traffic is currently suspended," added the authority's representative Björn Stavas.
Flights to Gothenburg are temporarily being redirected to other airports, particularly to Copenhagen, the statement said.
It is worth noting that in recent weeks, unknown drones have systematically caused significant disruptions at airports across Europe. In particular, on Tuesday, November 4, several Belgian airports were closed due to unexplained drone flights.
On the same day, drones were reported near the Kleine-Brogel Air Base in eastern Belgium.
And already on Wednesday, November 5, local police in Belgian Ostend received several reports of a drone spotted over the city center.
