Berliner Zeitung: difficulties in supplying Tomahawk to Ukraine may be caused by China.

Difficulties in supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles from the U.S. may be caused by a decision from the Chinese leadership. This is reported by the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.

"Before the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, [U.S. President Donald] Trump has little opportunity to provide Ukraine with more significant support than before. The reason for this lies not in the military power and superiority of Russia, but in Beijing," the article states.

The publication notes that last week, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce published a document that imposed restrictions on the export of rare earth metals. According to the new rules, foreign companies must now obtain permission from the Chinese government to export products containing even small amounts of such metals and must declare their intended use. These restrictions deal a serious blow to the U.S. defense industry, as rare earth elements are essential for the production of military equipment and a wide range of high-tech products.

Earlier, Trump, speaking to reporters after a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, acknowledged the difficulties in supplying Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv and emphasized that the United States also needs this weapon. "We cannot deplete our stocks for our country. We need them too," he stated.
