Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called Russian leader Vladimir Putin to congratulate him on his birthday. This was reported by the press service of the Azerbaijani leader.
"The head of state congratulated the President of the Russian Federation on his birthday. Vladimir Putin thanked him for the congratulations," the statement said.
Representatives of Moscow and Baku also exchanged views on the current state and prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia during the phone conversation.
