Blake Lively Demands $40 Million for 'Mean Girl': New Claims Against Justin Baldoni

Screen star Blake Lively is eager to maximize the remaining claims that the court has not previously dismissed.

Actress Blake Lively is not planning to stop her legal battle with Justin Baldoni. After a significant portion of her initial claims was dismissed by the court, Lively has filed a new lawsuit for $40 million. She claims that Baldoni's team deliberately tarnished her reputation by creating an online image of a 'mean girl'.

TMZ has obtained the final list of demands that Blake Lively's team will present to the director and lead actor of the film 'It All Ends With Us', Justin Baldoni. It was previously reported that the actress is seeking $161 million in compensation for lost income, including $49 million for her hair care brand Blakebrownbeauty and $22 million for her beverage company Betty Buzz.

Now, a new demand has been added to the previously stated amounts: Lively's lawyers discovered that after the lawsuit against Baldoni began, the actress was referred to as a 'mean girl', 'bully', and 'heartless' over 176 million times online. In her belief, this smear campaign against her image, organized by Baldoni's team, has led to a loss of over $40 million, which she now wants to recover in addition to her previous claims.

It seems that Blake Lively is eager to maximize the remaining claims, especially after the court dismissed her allegations of harassment on set in early April 2026. Justin Baldoni's lawyers have already characterized the actress's new claims as 'ridiculous'.

It is worth noting that Lively initiated the lawsuit against Justin Baldoni at the end of 2024, shortly after their collaboration in the film 'It All Ends With Us', where they played a romantic couple. At that time, the actress accused him of harassment, claiming that Baldoni 'held her in his embrace' longer than the script allowed and allowed inappropriate touching during the rehearsal of intimate scenes, creating an 'atmosphere of sexual tension'.

In response, Baldoni filed a counterclaim against Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and undermining his business reputation. However, his $400 million claims were dismissed by the court back in June 2025. On May 18, the parties will meet again in court to consider Lively's lawsuit, which, after partial dismissal of the claims, now only includes three points: breach of contract, revenge, and aiding in revenge.
