Famous actress Anna Starshenbaum candidly stated her complete disappointment in Russian cinema and made the decision to permanently leave this field.
The star of popular series "Psychologin" and "Samsara," Anna Starshenbaum, made a loud statement. She no longer intends to participate in the filming of Russian films, as throughout her long career she has not found a single job that truly captivated or satisfied her. In her Instagram, she shared: "I have acted in all genres except for horror. The result has never satisfied me in 15 years in cinema."
Currently, 36-year-old Anna Starshenbaum has settled with her children on the picturesque island of Samui in Thailand. The actress admits that she left the film industry because she "does not consider this profession suitable for her true values."
Starshenbaum also expressed her critical views on modern Russian cinema. She noted: "By the age of 30, I caught myself thinking that I cannot recommend any Russian project to my close ones." When fans directly inquired about the reasons for her deep disappointment in the domestic film industry, Anna clearly replied: "There are many reasons, but the main one is the cultural code."
However, Anna Starshenbaum does not intend to completely say goodbye to the acting profession. She emphasized that her refusal concerns exclusively Russian cinema. The actress plans to return to work, but abroad, as soon as she masters a foreign language. She has not yet named a specific place for her new career – whether it be Thailand or Hollywood.
