Sharon Stone, known for the film "Basic Instinct," critically commented on how sexual scenes are portrayed in today’s movies and series. According to her, modern projects increasingly make them too straightforward and devoid of subtlety.
The actress admitted that she prefers to avoid such episodes and simply skips them while watching.
"Today, when sexual scenes are shown on television, I skip them. I don’t want to see that. I don’t want to go through all this straightforward, crude sexuality. They steal my imagination. I would rather prefer longing, mystery, desire. I want to keep those vivid emotions within me," Stone shared in an interview with CBS.
In the actress's opinion, excessive frankness deprives the scene of depth and emotional tension, which used to play a key role in the perception of such plots.
It is worth noting that this week, the third season of the series Euphoria featuring Stone is being released on the HBO platform.
