Famous actress and star of Comedy Woman, Marina Fedunkiv, who became a mother for the first time at 53, shared deeply personal reasons for refusing surrogate motherhood services and choosing to carry the baby herself.
More than a year ago, 54-year-old Marina Fedunkiv experienced the joy of motherhood for the first time. Now she sincerely shared why she decided to carry the child herself, rejecting the idea of surrogate motherhood. In a new episode of the show "Theory" on Rutube, the star of "Comedy Woman" admitted that she initially considered this option, but quickly realized that it would be incredibly difficult for her to fully trust a stranger.
"I would have annoyed that mother. I would have lived with her, slept, walked, and eaten. There would have been cameras everywhere. I wouldn’t have given the person a moment’s peace. What if she smokes? What if she does something somewhere? I hoped I might find someone among my acquaintances and ask for a good amount of money. Why not? But I was told that I am healthy."

Memory of a Beloved Grandfather
In the same candid interview, Marina revealed a touching story behind the choice of an unusual name for her son – Theodor. This name, as she shared, belonged to her adored grandfather, and thus the actress decided to immortalize the memory of a loved one who was very dear to her.
Dreams of a Big Family
Despite all the psychological challenges she faced during her first pregnancy, Fedunkiv recently surprised everyone with a statement: she is not opposed to having a second child! In an interview with Nadezhda Strelets, the actress emotionally emphasized: "I want to be the mother of two boys. With a man like my husband, you can have ten children. Because I know he is reliable."
It is worth reminding that in October 2024, Marina Fedunkiv gave birth to her long-awaited firstborn. The father is her husband, the charming Italian Stefano Maggi, who is 12 years younger than the actress. Their strong union was officially registered in 2021.

Difficult Past and Path to Happiness
Before finding her happiness with Stefano, Marina Fedunkiv endured a 13-year relationship with a businessman named Mikhail. These years, by her own admission, were marred by violence and issues with prohibited substances on the partner's part.
