Hollywood actor and director Sean Penn shared the circumstances under which his photo with Vladimir Putin was taken. According to him, during that period he visited Moscow for the film festival.
In the photo discussed in the interview, Vladimir Putin, Sean Penn, and actor Jack Nicholson are captured at the same table. Penn noted that he does not remember the exact year, but specified that it was during his visit to the Moscow Film Festival.
The actor explained that the meeting took place as part of an event attended by the Russian leader. According to him, the conversation at that time touched on the topic of fatherhood, among other things.
He added that he can approximately determine the time of this meeting, as it occurred shortly after the well-known statement by former U.S. President George Bush, who spoke about his impression of communicating with Putin.
Commenting on that period, Penn noted that he perceived the situation differently back then, but over time his perspective has changed.
It is also known that in March, the actor visited Ukraine, where he met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and visited Ukrainian soldiers.
