A simple dish made from accessible ingredients — potatoes, sausage, and eggs — can become a full lunch or dinner. It takes less than half an hour to prepare, and the result resembles a combination of potato pancakes and homemade pizza.
How to Prepare
Potatoes remain one of the most versatile ingredients in home cooking. One quick option is a potato pancake with sausage, which can be made in a regular skillet without an oven.
Ingredients:
- potatoes — 400 g
- sausage — 200 g
- eggs — 2 pcs.
- flour — 1 tbsp
- green onions — a small bunch
- salt and black pepper — to taste
- vegetable oil — for frying
Preparation:
Grate the peeled potatoes on a coarse grater and lightly squeeze out the excess moisture. Grate the sausage as well, and finely chop the onions. Mix all the ingredients, add the eggs, and stir until smooth, then add the flour, salt, and pepper.
Place the mixture in a preheated skillet with oil, spreading it into an even layer. Cook covered on low heat for about 12–13 minutes. Then carefully flip and fry the other side until golden brown.
Cut the finished dish into portions and serve hot. It pairs best with sour cream or natural yogurt.
