The Express publication has named three European destinations without thousands of tourists that are worth considering.
La Gomera, Canary Islands
This island is not as well-known as Tenerife or Lanzarote, yet it is equally beautiful. Laura Evans-Fisk from eurochange notes that it is the perfect quiet and peaceful alternative to the more popular islands.
"You can stay here for a few days to relax, or take a day trip from Tenerife by ferry. La Gomera is also a wonderful place for hiking and nature lovers, as it is home to the lush Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The beaches here are much more secluded than on other islands, and you won’t find large resort complexes or a bustling nightlife here," she stated.
Moreover, this island boasts a pleasant temperature year-round. Additionally, La Gomera is considered a great spot for stargazing, all thanks to its low levels of light pollution.
Ksamil and Porto Palermo, Albania
The "Albanian Riviera" is known for its stunning turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. This part of the country is becoming increasingly popular among tourists, but some corners still remain off the radar for travelers.
"Ksamil, an area often referred to as the 'Maldives of Europe,' is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches with white sand and stunningly clear water. The well-known Algarve destination is usually overcrowded with tourists. However, if you head a little further north to Alentejo, you will find a place with a much more serene atmosphere.
