Hearty Rolls with Meat Filling: Cooking at Home Tastier than in a Restaurant

Appetizing rolls with meat filling are a simple and hearty dinner that literally melts in your mouth. The dough absorbs the meat juices, and the aroma of the finished dish is unforgettable.

This dish is easy to prepare even without culinary experience. The filling made of meat, onions, sweet peppers, and garlic combined with cheese makes the rolls incredibly tasty and filling.

Ingredients:

  • Flour – 350 g
  • Butter – 100 g
  • Kefir – 130 ml
  • Salt – to taste
  • Meat – 200 g
  • Onion – 3 pcs
  • Sweet pepper – 2 pcs
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Ground pepper – to taste
  • Salt – 1 tsp.
  • Tomato paste – 1 tsp.
  • Oil – for frying
  • Hard cheese – 150 g
  • Egg yolk – 1 pc
  • Milk – 2 tbsp.
  • Sesame – for sprinkling

Preparation:

  1. Dough: Add pieces of cold butter to the flour and rub with your hands until crumbly. Add salt, pour in the kefir, and quickly knead the dough.
  2. Filling: Cut the meat, onion, and pepper. Fry the meat in oil, add the onion, then the sweet pepper and garlic. Season with salt and pepper, and add the tomato paste. Fry for another minute and let cool.
  3. Forming the Rolls: Divide the dough into 4 parts and roll out. Place the filling on the edge, sprinkle with cheese, and roll into a log.
  4. Baking: Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment, brush with a mixture of yolk and milk, and sprinkle with sesame. Bake in the oven at 250°C for about 15 minutes.

The finished rolls can be eaten hot or cold. They are perfect for dinner, a snack, or even a festive table.
