The tennis player addressed her beloved after winning in Brisbane and hinted that it’s time for them to legalize their relationship.
Winning in Brisbane was not only a sports triumph for Aryna Sabalenka but also, it seems, an important personal moment. After the final match of the WTA-500 tournament, the 27-year-old Belarusian athlete publicly addressed her beloved – 36-year-old Brazilian entrepreneur Georgios Frangulis.
"Thank you to my boyfriend. I hope that soon I can call you something else," Aryna said, addressing Frangulis, who was watching the game from the stands.
And then, laughing, she added: "I’m just putting a little pressure on him." Her words elicited loud applause from the audience and the tennis player's team.
Aryna and Georgios have been together for about two years. In one interview, Sabalenka admitted that their relationship has a "powerful energy": "We both have strong personalities, but he knows how to be there and adjusts his schedule to mine so that we can spend time together."
After difficult personal experiences, Aryna seems to have found harmony again. Recall that in the spring of 2024, her former boyfriend, hockey player Konstantin Koltsov, tragically passed away. At that time, the athlete asked fans to "respect the personal life of her and the Koltsov family," and a few months later, she made her first public appearance with Frangulis.
