The Economist Intelligence Unit community announced the ranking of the best places for everyday life. At the top of the ranking is the city of Auckland in New Zealand. There, democracy prevails, there is no corruption, excellent roads, good public transport, clean water, and everything is generally wonderful, which allowed the city to take first place.
New Zealand, particularly Auckland, has an excellent climate. The city is situated among volcanic hills and is surrounded by two different harbors. The average temperature in Auckland in winter is 23 degrees Celsius, and in summer it is 13.
In Auckland, there are no bribes or other bureaucracy. The city authorities even managed to defeat the coronavirus. Unlike other countries where second and third waves of the disease were recorded, quarantine measures in Auckland were lifted earlier than anywhere else.
Since February 2021, there have been no recorded cases of coronavirus among residents who do not leave the country. This has allowed locals to visit cafes, go to the movies, and work (New Zealand has one of the lowest unemployment rates), while children can attend schools.
In the ranking of the best cities to live in, six other cities from this country are listed.
