The vision board in 2026 (as in any other year, actually) is a tool for focusing attention and internal navigation. It really works when desires cease to be vague fantasies and become a direction of movement. Psychologist Radmila Bakirova provided instructions on how to create a vision board so that it truly influences life.

First the State, Then the Images

Before cutting, painting, and gluing, it is important to understand what state you want to experience in 2026. "It’s not about what to have, but how to feel — calm, free, confident, in the flow, in the body, in joy. This is a key mistake of many vision boards: they are assembled from other people's images without a connection to the inner feeling. If you start with the state, the images are then chosen much more accurately and do not provoke internal resistance," says the expert.

Formulating Desires

Desires should be formulated as if they are already embedded in reality. No "I want to try," "maybe," or "it would be nice." The formulations are simple, specific, and physically felt. For example, not "a new job," but "I receive a stable income that brings pleasure and a sense of value." The vision board does not like abstractions; it needs clear language.

Balance of Spheres, Not a Tilt Toward One Theme

In this domestic magic (let's call it that, although there is practically no magic involved), it is especially important to look at life holistically. "The vision board should include several key spheres: body and health, money and realization, relationships, living space, inner state. If the whole board is only about money or only about love, it amplifies the tilt rather than harmony. The task of the board is not to speed up or boost one area at the expense of others, but to build a stable system, to bring the world inside and outside into a harmonious state," emphasizes the psychologist.

Real Images Instead of Glossy Templates

The best images are those that resonate personally, not trendy pictures from social media. Sometimes it’s not a villa by the sea, but a cozy light in the window. Not a perfect body, but a straight posture and a relaxed face. The brain responds well to images that seem achievable and close. It is these images that form the internal permission for change.

Contact with the Board Throughout the Year

The vision board is not a one-time ritual. It is important to see it, to return to it with your gaze, sometimes to reread the formulations, to check in with your feelings. Throughout the year, desires may be refined, and that is normal. The board should not be static and dogmatic. Ultimately, those who can engage in dialogue with themselves and flexibly adjust their course without losing direction will benefit.
