On December 5 and 6, the 'Festival of Light in the Gnome City' will take place at the Nature Park in Tervete. Visitors will be able to see light and laser installations, audiovisual stories, and Christmas projections. The festive program will be available from 16:00 to 22:00.
A 3-kilometer light trail will open in the themed forest and the gnome town of Ciekure. There will be bonfires for warmth and areas with entertainment activities on the premises. Fairy-tale characters will greet guests at the gnome estate; there will also be a traditional 'Christmas Gnomes' post office where letters can be sent until December 14.
Visitors will be invited to climb the 40-meter observation tower and take a ride on the festive train that runs along the forest trails.
During the event, there will be food stalls and the Mammadaba café in the information center building.
Entry is by tickets to the Nature Park in Tervete.
