We strive to look better, follow various diets, and exercise regularly. However, sometimes it seems that efforts do not yield results. The reason may lie in habits that subtly "knock" us out of the weight loss process.
1. Snacking and coffee breaks
Syrup in coffee, sugar in tea, or favorite cookies with a drink are extra calories that often accumulate in the abdominal area and sides, forming visceral fat. Even small daily additions can significantly slow down the weight loss process.
2. Love for fruits
Berries and fruits are beneficial due to their vitamins, but they contain a significant amount of sugar and fructose. This is often the reason for excess weight. The optimal norm for fruits is about 300–400 g per day.
3. Switching to a low-fat diet
Fats are essential for skin health, hormonal balance, and metabolism. Foods with healthy fats should be included in the diet: egg yolks, caviar, fish, rabbit meat — rich in phospholipids and vitamin A. Plant fats should make up no more than 30% of the daily diet.
4. Sweets as a "reward"
Chocolate after a tough workday, cake while watching a series, or pastry after emotional events — the habit of rewarding oneself with sweets often compensates for stress, lack of communication, or positive emotions. To maintain a good figure, it is important to find alternative ways to reward oneself.
5. Chaos with vitamins in the diet
Monitoring vitamin D levels is extremely important, as it regulates metabolism, calcium balance, skin and hair condition, and nervous system function, as well as performing steroid hormone functions. Its deficiency slows down metabolism and fat burning.
Iron and thyroid hormones, as well as sex hormones, are no less important. A lack of iron leads to hypoxia, which slows down energy production. Regular blood tests for ferritin and vitamin D levels will help monitor these indicators and support effective weight loss.
