The Telegram messenger has started marking accounts of users who use unofficial messenger applications.
A warning that the user is using an unofficial client is displayed in the profile. "This may reduce the security of the correspondence with the user," the notification states.

This was soon confirmed by the messenger itself.
After Roskomnadzor intensified the blocking of Telegram in Russia, users began actively downloading the Telega app. However, IT specialists found that using it is unsafe: the messenger, whose creators have been suspected of ties to VK from the very beginning, intercepts user traffic and may gain access to all their correspondence.
