Chinese companies Leju Robotics and Dongfang Precision Science and Technology have joined forces to create an automated factory that can produce one humanoid robot every 30 minutes, writes Focus.

A new era in the production of humanoid robots has begun in China. In the city of Foshan, Guangdong province, the country's first automated production line for humanoid robots has been put into operation, capable of producing 10,000 robots per year. The new factory is the result of joint efforts by Leju Robotics and Dongfang Precision Science and Technology.

Each finished humanoid robot rolls off the assembly line approximately every 30 minutes, ensuring a 50% increase in efficiency compared to traditional assembly methods.

Before leaving the assembly line, each robot undergoes 41 tests that simulate real working conditions. These checks are designed to ensure reliability as humanoid robots transition from demonstrations to continuous industrial operation.

Thanks to automated vehicles and digital control systems, the factory can switch between producing different models of robots without the need for a complete production overhaul. This allows the factory to meet the diverse needs of industries such as automotive and home appliance manufacturing.

Leju Robotics focuses on designing robots and developing software, including artificial intelligence, for its products, while Dongfang Precision Science and Technology specializes in large-scale manufacturing, system integration, and after-sales support.

With an annual production volume of 10,000 robots, the new factory enables Leju Robotics to become one of the leading players in the humanoid robotics sector.

At the same time, competitors are not standing still. Agibot has announced the release of its 10,000th humanoid robot, while Unitree Robotics plans to build a factory that will produce 75,000 humanoid robots per year. UBTECH Robotics is working on producing 5,000 units per year with the goal of reducing the cost of a single robot to below $20,000.

For Leju Robotics, reaching the milestone of 10,000 robots per year is a necessity. In today's market, production volume is becoming a critical factor for attracting investment.

Despite rapid progress in humanoid robotics manufacturing, the industry still faces a serious challenge. The software needed for humanoid robots to operate effectively in real, unpredictable conditions is still under development.
