Google: Android smartphones are faster than iOS when working with the browser.
The Android operating system (OS) works faster with browsers than iOS. This is stated in the Chromium blog.
Google Chromium is an open-source web browser project that serves as the foundation for Chrome and many other browsers. Google conducted tests and stated that Chromium-based applications perform faster on Android than on other devices. This primarily concerns iOS and iPhone.
Google engineers demonstrated the superiority of Android through a performance test that measures the speed of opening links after clicking on them. The company emphasized that new flagship Android smartphones open links 47 percent faster than devices running a non-Android OS.
Google explained that the increase in web browsing performance is related to vertical integration. The corporation's specialists optimized the Android core and Chrome engine for more efficient operation.
However, the difference may seem insignificant to users. For instance, Android device owners can expect about five percent faster page loading and nine percent smoother performance during everyday use.
