Buyers of new Apple laptops in EU countries will be forced to pay separately for charging. In all other regions, the charging adapter is included with the laptop at no extra charge.
Apple will stop including chargers with new laptops in a number of regions. This was noted by the publication MacRumors.
In the first week of March, the corporation introduced the MacBook Neo, Air, and Pro laptops. It turned out that in the European Union countries and the United Kingdom, portable computers will be sold without chargers.
Thus, consumers from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and other countries will have to purchase a charger separately — from Apple or other sellers, if they do not have one. MacRumors journalists reminded that for the first time the IT giant left European computer owners without a branded adapter in 2025 when it released the MacBook Pro.
In all other regions, the charging adapter is included with the laptop at no extra charge. For example, the box with the MacBook Neo includes a 20-watt USB-C charger, while the 16-inch MacBook Pro comes with a 140-watt charger. Additionally, in all countries, Apple laptops come with a USB-C or MagSafe 3 cable.
Since 2020, Apple has not included a charging adapter with iPhones worldwide — only the cable is included in the box.
