Страна Восходящего Солнца совершила авиационную революцию.

Additionally, the built-in system automatically notifies air traffic control of the emergency.

Honda Aircraft has announced that the Elite II will be equipped with Garmin's Emergency Autoland (EAL) system, allowing it to land autonomously if necessary. This is the first light twin-engine jet in its segment to receive FAA certification for this system.

Honda stated that the installation of this safety technology has been "highly anticipated" by aircraft owners and operators. In this regard, the company is also seeking EAL certification from regulatory authorities in other markets to provide the same peace of mind during flights for foreign pilots.

The EAL system directs the aircraft to the nearest airport for an emergency landing. It first assesses the weather, terrain, fuel reserves, and runway length to select the optimal airport, then configures the aircraft for landing, safely guides it to the ground, and engages the brakes until it comes to a complete stop on the runway. The system can be easily activated at the push of a button, but it also activates automatically if the pilot does not respond. Additionally, it automatically notifies air traffic control of the emergency.

This is not the only useful autonomous feature that the Elite II has acquired since its launch in 2022. In 2024, it became the first aircraft of its kind equipped with Garmin Autothrottle. This system automatically manages engine modes from takeoff to landing, reducing the pilot's workload. Together, the EAL and Autothrottle systems allow one pilot to operate the aircraft.
