The maximum volume on Android smartphones is limited by default, but it can be raised. This is reported by BGR.
The authors of the media noted that in most Android smartphones, the maximum sound output power is limited. This includes the volume level being lowered due to concerns for users' health. Journalists observed that if the volume level seems insufficient, the restriction can be lifted.
The article states that such a setting exists on every phone, but it may be called differently depending on the firmware. Experts named the way to disable the restriction. To do this, in the smartphone settings, one needs to open the "Sounds and Vibration" section and then find the "Media Volume Limitation" option. After that, the settings slider should be switched to the "Off" position.
"After disabling this feature, you will be able to increase the phone's volume, allowing the speaker to produce sound much louder," the authors stated. They concluded that changing this setting only affects the power of the built-in speakers — the sound in connected headphones or speakers will not become louder.
