Hackers stole secret data from Apple, Nvidia, LG, and Tesla.

Malefactors have stolen a vast array of data concerning Apple products. This was reported by the publication 9to5Mac.

According to industry media Cybernews and Hackread, which were cited by journalists from 9to5Mac, the hackers did not breach Apple itself, but rather its key Chinese supplier Luxshare. The malefactors gained access to terabytes of data on secret products from Apple, Nvidia, LG, Tesla, and other major companies.

The organization RansomHub claimed responsibility for the breach. On December 15, they published a statement on a dark web forum that they had managed to steal data from Luxshare. The malefactors urged representatives of Luxshare to contact them to ransom the stolen information.

The stolen files are dated from 2019 to 2025. "This could mean there is information about future Apple products," the journalists noted. "If confirmed, the attack could have catastrophic consequences for Luxshare and its partners," stated specialists from Cybernews.

Luxshare and Apple have not publicly commented on the reports of the breach. It is noted that the Chinese firm is a key partner of the IT giant in the production of iPhones, Apple Watches, AirPods, and other devices.
