The planned spacewalk has been canceled for now.

NASA has allowed for the early return of the Crew-11 mission crew from the International Space Station (ISS) to Earth. This was reported by the Spaceflight Now portal, citing the American space agency.

The possible return of the Crew-11 crew to Earth is attributed to the results of a medical examination of one of its members. According to NASA, one of the ISS astronauts is in stable condition. However, due to health issues, the agency has canceled the planned spacewalk for the astronauts.

SpaceX Crew-11 is the eleventh crewed flight of the American spacecraft Crew Dragon by SpaceX under the NASA Commercial Crew Program.

The spacecraft delivered four crew members of the Crew-11 mission and the ISS expeditions 73/74 to the International Space Station (ISS). The launch took place on August 1, 2025, at 15:43 UTC, and the spacecraft docked with the ISS the following day. The crew included NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Edward Fink, JAXA astronaut Koichi Wakata, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov.

In this context, the head of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, billionaire Jared Isaacman, announced plans to build a base on the Moon. For its part, NASA reported that the launch of the Crew Dragon spacecraft to the ISS with Russian cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev will take place no earlier than February 15, 2026.
