China is preparing to launch the super-heavy Long March 10 rocket in 2026, intended for use in the Chinese crewed lunar program. This was reported by SpaceNews, citing a statement from the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology.
The portal notes that the Long March 10 is presented in two variants. The basic version is a three-stage launch vehicle designed to launch the crewed lunar spacecraft Mengzhou and the lunar lander. The Long March 10A variant is a partially reusable two-stage launch vehicle for launching Mengzhou to low Earth orbit to the Tiangong station.
