Today at 9:30 AM, a forum dedicated to the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on competitiveness, security, and the public governance system of the state will begin at the Riga Castle, reported the president's advisor, Mārtiņš Drēgeris.
The President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, will open the forum of the State Commission for Competitiveness dedicated to artificial intelligence. During thematic panel discussions, experts will present their vision of how AI-based solutions can enhance the competitiveness and security of small states, as well as analyze the risks associated with the implementation of such technologies.
Forum participants will exchange practical ideas on how to promote the adoption of AI solutions and improve regulation in the field of public governance. Additionally, they will discuss ways to enhance the quality of education and improve learning processes through AI technologies.
During the panel discussions, participants will also discuss examples of best practices from foreign countries and present recommendations for targeted measures for the implementation of AI solutions.
The AI forum will be streamed live on the website of the presidential office and on the "YouTube" account.
The State Commission for Competitiveness brings together experts in education, science, and entrepreneurship. It functions as a strategic analytical body under the president's institute, tasked with preparing data-driven conclusions and practical action models aimed at increasing the level of innovation and competitiveness in Latvia.
