Regular echo on the phone can be a sign of surveillance.
Artificial intelligence specialist Marina Kholod spoke about methods to recognize if your phone is being tapped. One of the signs is echo.
According to the expert, it is also important to pay attention to other extraneous sounds, such as regular clicks, distant voices, and static interference. When it comes to echo, it can certainly be due to poor connection, but if it happens only when talking to a specific contact or in a particular location, it should raise suspicion.
In addition to sounds, the consequences of "phone surveillance" can include delays in the device's performance when receiving calls or before starting a conversation. Conversely, there may be suspicious activity on the device. If the phone spontaneously turns on, off, or restarts, or if the backlight activates or applications launch when you are not using the device, it is also worth suspecting tapping and potential data leaks.
Malware or spy applications on your phone can also cause abnormally fast battery drain. Therefore, it is important to monitor the phone's performance.
Marina Kholod advises against downloading applications from dubious sources, clicking on unverified links, and opening unknown files.
