The former head coach of Riga's Dinamo has been deprived of his residence permit in Latvia

The legendary Vladimir Krikunov reported that he has lost his residence permit in Latvia.

"I had my residence permit taken away from me in Latvia. It was supposed to be renewed, I submitted the documents. I needed one certificate, for which I traveled from Latvia to the border last year. The border guard, an old Lithuanian who speaks Russian, asked me where I was going. I replied that I was going to Belarus and then to Moscow for a certificate from the bank. He told me that my residence permit had been canceled for three days already. I was surprised because this permit is valid until 2027," said the 75-year-old coach to reporters.

Let us remind you that Vladimir Krikunov played for Riga's Dinamo from 1976 to 1982. In 2021, he was appointed head coach of our club. In 2022, in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the management of Riga's Dinamo decided to cease participation in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Currently, the specialist works as a consulting coach for the hockey club Sochi.
