Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been found guilty of assault, resisting arrest, and attempted bribery.
The court sentenced the footballer to 15 months of probation, reports Sky Sports.
The case is related to a fight that occurred in August 2020 on the island of Mykonos, where the footballer was on vacation. According to the investigation, Maguire and his friends attacked law enforcement officers after a conflict in a bar.
The defender plans to appeal the current verdict in the Supreme Court of Greece. The current sentence of 15 months probation is a reduced one — the footballer was initially sentenced to 21 months and 10 days.
