The 2026 Winter Olympics have concluded in Italy. A total of 116 sets of medals were awarded in 16 sports.
The unofficial overall team standings were won by the Norwegian team, which won 41 medals: 18 gold, 12 silver, and 11 bronze.
The United States took second place in the medal standings with 33 awards (12+12+9), while the Netherlands ranked third with 20 awards (10+7+3).
Traditionally considered a favorite in the Games, the Chinese team finished only in 12th place (15 awards, 5+4+6), falling behind the Canadians, Japanese, and Austrians, who also won five gold medals each but surpassed the Chinese in both silver medals and total awards.
