A fan of the Slovak national team who had been hiding for 16 years was arrested at the Olympics and sent to prison

Italian police arrested a fan who came to Milan to support the Slovak hockey team during the Olympic tournament.

According to the ANSA agency, in 2010, the Bolzano court issued an arrest warrant for this person on charges of thefts in commercial establishments. He was tracked down after a report from a hotel in the Badjo area. The arrested individual faces 11 months and 7 days of imprisonment for property crimes. He was taken to San Vittore prison.

The Slovak national team played their first match in the Olympic tournament in Milan on February 11. In that match, the team defeated their opponents from Finland with a score of 4:1. The Slovaks will play their next game on February 13 against the Italian national team.

The men's hockey tournament will conclude on February 22.
