Latvian biathletes finished 12th in the mixed relay at the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, with the French team winning the competition.
In the mixed relay of biathlon, Latvia fielded leading representatives of the sport - Andrejs Rastorgujevs, Renars Birkentals, Baiba Bendika, and Estere Volfa. The Latvians, participating in the mixed relay at the Olympic Games for the first time, started under number 17 out of 21 teams.
Latvian biathletes finished three minutes and 13 seconds behind the winners.
The Estonian and Lithuanian teams took 15th and 20th places, respectively.
