A Total of 13 - The Final List of Russian Participants in the 2026 Winter Olympics Announced

The list includes 13 athletes who will compete in 7 sports. Additionally, 5 Belarusians have been allowed to participate in the Winter Olympics.

The final list of Russian athletes allowed to participate in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy has been announced. In total, there are 13 names:

Adelia Petrosyan and Pyotr Gumenik (figure skating), Darya Nepryaeva and Savely Korostylev (cross-country skiing), Ksenia Korzhova and Anastasia Semyonova (speed skating), Alyona Krylova and Ivan Posashkov (short track), Nikita Filippov (ski mountaineering), Darya Olesik and Pavel Repilov (luge), Semyon Yefimov and Ekaterina Tkachenko (alpine skiing).

The composition of the Belarusian team for the 2026 Winter Games in Italy has also been approved earlier. To date, 5 female athletes will compete in five disciplines: Maria Shkanova (alpine skiing), Marina Zueva (speed skating), Anna Koroleva (cross-country skiing), Victoria Safonova (figure skating), Anna Gusikova (freestyle skiing).

The delegation's composition may be increased by reallocating quotas in freestyle skiing.

The neutral status for Russians and Belarusians implies a ban on participation in the opening ceremony and team competitions, the absence of flags, anthems, and medal standings, as well as no ties with Russian military structures and national security agencies and open support for the war in Ukraine.

The XXV Winter Olympic Games will take place from February 6 to 22, 2026, in Italy. Competitions will be held in the Italian regions of Veneto and Lombardy – in the cities of Milan (ice sports) and Cortina d'Ampezzo (snow sports, luge, curling).
