Pittsburgh forward Evgeni Malkin commented on the possibility of retiring.
On January 23, the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Edmonton Oilers 6-2 on the road. The 39-year-old Russian scored a goal and provided an assist.
“I never said I was going to retire. It all depends on me. I feel great, I like how we are playing. It’s always nice to win. I think we have a great team. We can win every game,” said Malkin, as reported by journalist Michelle Crechiolo.
In the 2025/26 season, Malkin played 35 games in the NHL regular season and scored 39 points (12+27).
