The national team of our country made its debut in the final stage of the European Championship, defeating the team of Georgia at "Arena Riga" with a score of 4:0 (1:0). By the way, in the world ranking, Georgia is in 15th place, while we are currently in 52nd position.
The Latvians imposed a high tempo from the very first minutes and completely controlled the course of the match, leaving the opponent with no chances. For the hosts, German Matyushenko scored, as well as Edgar Tarakanov, who netted a brace. Andrey Baklanov sealed the match with a final goal.
