Kruzbergs Wins Silver Medal at European Short Track Championship 0 7

On Friday, Kruzbergs was first in the quarterfinals, while Reinis Berzins was second in another group, and both advanced to the semifinals. On Saturday, in the semifinals, Kruzbergs finished second and moved on to the A-final, while Berzins received a penalty and ended his competition.

Kruzbergs finished 0.115 seconds behind the winner, Jens van't Wout from the Netherlands, and 0.195 seconds behind the Italian Thomas Naldini. This is Kruzbergs' first medal at the European Championships.

Last year, Berzins was the best Latvian short tracker at the European Championships, finishing fourth in the 500 meters, while Kruzbergs was sixth in the 1500 meters.

The European Championship will conclude on Sunday.
