Italian national team representative leads the overall standings of the Biathlon World Cup for the first time since 1992

Italian biathlete Tommaso Giacomel has taken the lead in the overall standings of the 2025/26 World Cup. After 10 races, he has 611 points.

An Italian biathlete has topped the overall standings of the World Cup for the first time since 1992. 34 years ago, the yellow bib was worn by Andreas Zingerle.

Zingerle and Giacomel currently have the same number of individual World Cup medals — 13 each. If Tommaso wins at least one more award, he will become the leader among Italians in this regard.

Today, January 10, Tommaso Giacomel won the pursuit race at the fourth stage of the 2025/26 World Cup in Oberhof (Germany). He completed the distance in 37:15.4 and had six misses at four shooting ranges.
