Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola: do you want to sack me?

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola expressed irritation regarding rumors of his possible departure from the club before the 20th round match of the English Premier League, in which his team is set to face Chelsea.

"Why should I tell you my opinion? It's just a rumor. Do you want to sack me? Oh my God. I have a contract, I’ve said this a thousand million times. But my authority is zero, right? I know you’re tired of me after 10 years. Do you want me to leave? Yes, I’m almost sure of that. You know, one day I will leave. I promise.

But I have a contract, I’m happy, I want to fight with my team. The management respects me. They proved that last season with what happened at the club when we didn’t win a game for two or three months. They support me. So what can I do? Maybe one day it will happen, I don’t know. Football is a surprise. I can only confirm how lucky I am. I was and remain in the club I am in now. My club is extraordinary," Guardiola's words are quoted by The Sun.

After 19 matches played in the English Premier League, Manchester City has earned 41 points and is in second place in the standings. Chelsea is in fifth place, with the team having earned 30 points.
