The exhibition match took place in Dubai and lasted one hour and 17 minutes. Kyrgios made one service ace and converted 6 out of 15 break points. Sabalenka did not make a single ace during the match and was able to convert 3 break points out of 7.

Both tennis players had one serve (without a second), and the size of the court side where Sabalenka played was reduced by 9% from the standard. Two sets were played in the traditional format to six games. If it had gone to a third set, a tiebreak to 10 points would have been played instead of a full set.
