The oldest player in the world, forward Kazuyoshi Miura, has decided to spend another year in professional football.
In the upcoming season, he will play for the third division club of the Japan Football League, Fukushima United.
For 58-year-old Miura, this will be his 41st year in professional football.
His long journey began in 1986. He has played for clubs including Santos (Brazil), Genoa (Italy), Sydney (Australia), Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia), and Japanese clubs Vissel Kobe, Verdy Kawasaki, Yokohama, and many others. He has played 89 matches for the Japan national team and scored 55 goals.
