The Paris appellate court rejected the request of Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe to freeze the accounts of Paris Saint-Germain.
This was reported by journalist Ben Jacobs on his social media page.
The footballer demanded payment of bonuses amounting to €55 million, as well as salary for April-June 2024. PSG believes that Mbappe voluntarily waived these payments before his move to Real Madrid as a free agent.
The striker's lawsuit was dismissed, and he was ordered to cover court costs, as well as a fine of €3,000 intended to compensate the Paris club's expenses.
"For the second time, the courts have confirmed the unfounded nature of Mr. Mbappe's claims regarding the freezing of PSG's accounts. Essentially, this entire dispute is simply a matter of good faith, honesty, adherence to values, and respect for the Paris club and its fans," said the lawyer representing PSG.
Earlier, Mbappe received a notice about the freezing of the club's accounts, but in May this decision was overturned. In November, the footballer appealed to the appellate court again, and on December 9, the Paris court ruled in favor of PSG.
