Latvia's top player Alena Ostapenko maintained her 23rd position in the updated Women's Tennis Association (WTA) singles ranking, while Darya Semenistaya dropped out of the top 100, reports LETA.

In the new ranking, Semenistaya lost one position and is in 101st place.

Among other Latvian tennis players, Anastasija Sevastova climbed three places (199th), Adelina Lachinova made a leap of 71 positions and is in 565th place, which is her personal record. Kamila Bartone dropped 57 places (622nd), Beatrice Zeltiņa lost two positions (644th), Diana Marcinkevica climbed 40 places (749th), Elza Tomase dropped one position (936th), Sabine Rutlauka gained 19 places (1065th), while Margarita Ignatjeva (1423rd) did not change her position.

There are no changes in the top ten of the WTA ranking. Leading is Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, followed by Polish Iga Swiatek, then Americans Coco Gauff and Amanda Anisimova, Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina, followed by two more Americans — Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys, in eighth place is Italian Jasmine Paolini, and rounding out the top ten are Russians Mira Andreyeva and Ekaterina Alexandrova.

In the WTA doubles ranking, Ostapenko finished the season in seventh place. Darya Semenistaya also maintained her position (155th), while Sevastova dropped four positions (512th), Bartone — two (565th), Tomase — four (596th), Marcinkevica — three (661st). Meanwhile, Ignatjeva climbed 77 places (874th), Zeltiņa gained 157 positions (932nd), and Lachinova lost five places (980th). There are also five more Latvian tennis players in the doubles ranking who are below the 1000th place.

The season in the doubles ranking was completed in first place by Czech Kateřina Siniaková.
