PSG winger and France national team player Désiré Duo has been named the best young footballer of the year in Europe. The prestigious Golden Boy award ceremony for 2025 took place on December 1 in Turin.
Duo transferred to PSG from Rennes for €50 million in the summer of 2024. The attacking midfielder made a significant contribution to Paris' first-ever victory in the Champions League.
In the final match against Inter (5:0), Duo scored two goals and provided an assist. The 20-year-old Duo was named the best player of the final.
The Golden Boy award was established by the Italian sports publication Tuttosport in 2003 and is awarded annually to the best young footballer under the age of 21 playing in the top division of one of the European leagues.
